Just make sure the hole is open on the finished waxed pysanka. Set it in a coffee filter in a bread basket, and slowly go across the surface of the egg with the heat tool to melt the wax. use the coffee filter to remove the melted wax, and then do a final wipe with a soft tissue moistened with Ronsonol lighter fluid on a tissue to remove any remaining debris. I WAS THE FIRST TO INTRODUCE THIS TO PYSANKY! BETTER THEN OVEN BAKE OFF OR USING A CANDLE THAT COULD SCORCH THE EGG. SAFE WITH BEGINNERS OR CHILDREN WHEN SUPERVISED.

TOOLS COME IN DIFFERENT COLORS, SO YOU MIGHT NOT GET THE PURPLE ONE PICTURED.

Heat wax removal tool

I just got this tool a month ago but it’s so dang handy! I was using a hair dryer on high to melt the wax on my ostrich eggs and the heat is crazy hot and blows everywhere! This tool gets crazy hot but it is very pointed so you can direct exactly where you want to melt the wax. Be careful folks, it gets hotter than you know where!! (May 18 2018, 13:41 PM)
